A little about me:
It's not all about business. For fun, I bring out the creativity in others as an Independent Painting Party Instructor in New Jersey for Gallery On The Go. I facilitate team-building sessions, customer appreciation events, social gatherings, private parties, and workshops for children and adults to help them discover their unique creative talents in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.
In 2017, I opened Blank Space Highland Park, a coworking/community and event space in New Jersey, as a pop-up proof of concept. The retail space closed after the initial discovery phase; the business rebranded as Blank Space On The Road, hosting events like Open Mic and Social Painting Parties at various partner locations.
As founder and executive producer of Eva Abreu Productions LLC, I produced family-friendly community theater. During the 1990s, I worked as a freelance talent liaison for televised award shows in NYC (Night of 100 Stars, Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, MTV Music Awards). I also performed the first year run of dinner theatre production "Joey & Mary’s Irish/Italian Comedy Wedding" in NY/NJ area as the DJ/MC. I was a radio announcer/DJ on 88.7 WRSU-FM Rutgers and a mobile DJ, performing at weddings, nightclubs and social events.
Always reinventing and learning, I've held a number of other positions over the decades, including selling luxury cars for Lexus of Edison and much more.
I was planning editor at the Daily Record (Morris County), and social media editor/technology columnist at Home News Tribune, Courier News and Daily Record. My most memorable moment: interviewing Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and Square.
I'm trained as a state-certified Navigator with Center For Family Services, helping NJ residents understand the health insurance marketplace.
NJSocialMedia.com was a startup that I created in 2009 and I gave presentations as a social media trainer, speaker and consultant. I also organized "tweetups" and face-to-face networking events, including two meetup events with Gary Vaynerchuk at Wine Library.
I owned a video production company in the 1980s, producing, directing, shooting and editing corporate videos, social events and local cable TV programs.
As a former freelance stage manager & audio-visual technician, I traveled across the U.S., staging corporate events, sales/training meetings & product launches for global pharmaceutical companies.
My corporate background includes a position at Credit Suisse First Boston in NYC as Assistant Vice President/Operations Manager for North & South America, responsible for Videoconferencing and Audio-Visual Technology, plus management positions with AT&T Solutions and Newark Electronics. I have a degree from Rutgers University and I’m a lifelong resident of New Jersey.
Enough about me, let's talk about you.
