<description>Having co-organized Podcamp Philly for all three years &#38; starting up Social Media Club Princeton I can offer a few tips and pitfalls.

- Recruit help, but be prepared to tackle it all if help gets busy
- Expect it to take a while to pick up WOM &#38; memebers
- Be prepared for the unexpected (speakers not showing up, A/V equipment not working, sponsors backing out, etc.)
- Plan on spending 10x as much time as you thought it would take to organize
- Be sure to have a game plan, agenda, and Plan B
- Reach out to as many of your networking circles (even non-SoMe) as you can to help spread the word
- Above all else, know that along the way you will make some incredible friends and build life-long relationships with very good people
